THE AMITY Affliction have finalised their two supports for what will be landmark show on the Sydney Opera House forecourt on December 10.
Melbourne’s Thornhill and Brisbane’s WAAX will warm up the crowd for a show that it part of the Opera House’s On The Steps series. It’s The Amity Affliction’s only Australian date for the year.
Thornhill have recently toured North America with Sleep Token as well as doing the European summer festival circuit.
For the headliners, it will also be the first Australian date since drummer Joe Longobardi departed the band.
“I feel extremely grateful and fortunate to have spent those years with the band,” he wrote at the time.
“I wish Johnny, Dan and Joel along with the crew nothing but the very best moving forward. It’s been an incredible journey. Thank you all for the love. See you out there.”
In 2025, having been caught up in the collapse of the Park Waves festival. The Amity Affliction quickly compensated by booking a run of gigs in regional centres.
