PERTH’S progressive pop metal exponents Voyager today release their first new song in over three years.

“Secret” marks a triumphant return for a band whose upward trajectory was stalled in September 2023 following the Stage 4 cancer diagnosis of singer and founder Danny Estrin.

Only months after their pioneering top 5 finish in the Eurovision Song Contest, Estrin’s illness treatened his ability to ever perform again.

Years of treatment have followed, and earlier in 2026, Voyager returned to Europe to debut their Evening With performance format in Tilburg and London, and headlined ProgPower USA.

The release of “Secret” comes a week out from their first Australian shows since Estrin’s diagnosis. Through Storm and Stars: An Evening With Voyager will play Melbourne, Sydney and Perth next month.

“‘Secret’ is a return to classic Voyager 80s melodies, big grooves and big solos,” Estrin says of the song. “We are so excited to unleash this banger of a track onto the world. What’s the secret? Only Voyager knows and we’re not telling you…”
