FORTY years after the death of Phil Lynott, guitarist Scott Gorham has finally left Thin Lizzy for good.

Speaking in the latest issue of Classic Rock magazine, Gorham says he will not be taking part in any future projects under the name of the fabled Irish rock band.

“You know, I loved doing the reunion shows but I’ve decided to walk away from that,” the 75-year-old said.

“I kept thinking more and more about by buddy Phil and how I wish he was up there with me.

“I started feeling guilty doing it without him – it really was his band.

“For years I endured those that said ‘no Lynott, no Lizzy’ but now I’m admitting ‘I agree with you’

“In my defence, all I was trying to do was remind people how cool the music was

“I’m relieved I no longer have to make those excuses.”

In the same article, it was reveal lost tapes of another of Gorham’s old bands, Western Front, had been discovered and would be getting a release shortly with all original members on board for the project.
