BYRON Bay’s In Hearts Wake are the latest act to cancel their appearance on the upcoming Hellbound Cruise.
In a statement this afternoon, the metalcore unit blamed an “unexpected family situation” as the reason they will be no longer taking to the seas with Parkway Drive, Polaris, The Butterfly Effect and Make Them Suffer, among others.
“We need to remain present at home with our loved ones for the next few months,” the band wrote. “We always put 100% into our live show, and preparing for an upcoming festival with multiple days away at sea is just not possible at this time. So unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to withdraw. We’re incredibly sorry to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us onboard, and we appreciate your understanding that right now our family has to come first. We’ll see you in 2027 stronger than ever.”
Canberra rockers Hands Like Houses have been recruited to take their spot on the cruise.
The departure of In Hearts Wake follows Northlane, Diamond Construct and The Beautiful Monument all bailing on the ship since July. All have since been replaced by Sunk Loto, DREGG and Late 90s for the three day event that sets sail from Sydney on October 22.
