WHEN Guns N’Roses launched their ‘reunion’ at the Troubadour in West Hollywood in 2016, it wasn’t really a reunion. Steven Adler and Gilby Clarke were among he former members not invited.
But a decade later at the same venue, drummer Adler and guitarist Clarke were on the same stage with Slash and Duff McKagan at a memorial show for a beloved industry figure and the internet promptly went nuts.
There were various all star bands playing various songs but the big one for Gunners fans was Slash, Gilby, Duff, Steven and Faster Pussycat’s Taime Downe busting out a menacing rendition of “It’s So Easy”.
The show, which was organised by former Guns manager Vicky Hamilton, honoured booking agent Jennifer Perry, who died in February aged 67 after a cancer battle. She was involved in OzzFest as well as playing a role in the early careers of GN’R, Poison, Metallica an many many more bands.
