FORMER Guns N’Roses drummer Frank Ferrer has been recruited by a man who helped inspire that band, Michael Monroe.
Regular skinsman Karl Rosqvist has commitments with Danzig so Ferrer, 60, will step into the breach for European Festival shows next month.
“Frank will be behind the kit for our shows at Raismes Festival on September 12 in France and Rock The Sun Festival on September 19 in Spain,” Monroe said on social media.
“These shows are gonna be a blast! See you all there!”
Ferrer was apparently let go by GN”R in March of last year, after 18 years. He was replaced by saac Carpenter.
Ferrer said at the time: “The outpouring of love I have felt from the incredible fans of Guns N’Roses and my peers over the past 24 hours has been tremendous.
“I will have immense gratitude and love always for Axl and the band while at the same time, disappointment that this chapter came to an end.
“It has been an incredible 19 years. Guns N’Roses has given me life-changing memories and experiences.
“A huge thanks to management, the crew and fans for giving me memories that I will cherish for my lifetime.
“I hope I see you all again!”
