WITH all the announcements of major acts in the past couple of weeks, some of the other tour announcements may have fallen through the cracks. So here’s some of those we’ve collected recently.
Hardly an insignificant pair of bands, especially from the extreme point of view, Carcass and Brujeria will be touring Australia in September! The tour will head to six cities, with Brujeria not appearing at the Townsville show.

Fans of dark ambient pagan folk and atmospheric synthwave will be in for a feast when Mortiis lands in Australia in November. Mortiis will be performing with his full band on this tour for the first time to present his self-styled dark dungeon synth. Joining him on this visit will be Siberian dark folk artist Nytt Land and Turkish darkwave act TiR. Tickets are on sale now.

Oklahoma sludge monsters Chat Pile are bracketing their now sold-out show at Dark Mofo with a full Australian tour. The noisy quartet have announced five extra Aussie shows, with NZ’s splendid Beast Wars appearing on the east coast shows. Tickets available now.

Armed with a new album due on June 6, Pennsylvania metalcore innovators August Burns Red return to Australia for their first headlining run in seven years. Heading out of the road with them will be rising local stars Bloom and Texan newcomers I Promised the World. Tickets.

Brazilian death metal pioneers Sarcofago never made it to Australia. In August this year, founding member Geraldo Minelli and his current band The Laws will be bringing the legendary group’s music to Sydney and Melbourne in two exclusive performances. Tickets.

Staying with the extremity, Incantation are making a quick visit next month. The band is doing two shows only, in Sydney and Melbourne. Tickets from Oztix.

Finally, Finnish metallers Ensiferum have rescheduled their Australian dates due to the cancellation of their flights. All tickets remain valid for the new shows, but they are a long way off!
