ONE of the country’s most prominent all-female bands during the nineties and very early naughties, Nitocris toured relentlessly, appeared on the summer festival circuit consistently and issued a string of strong selling releases.

They split up amicably in 2001 to explore other projects and avenues with most of them continuing to perform in a dozen or so bands since.

Nitocris will reform for a reunion show on October 3, at Sydney’s Marrickville Bowlo, to mark the 25th anniversary of their departure from the scene. Tickets are now on sale, including merch packages, from this link.

It will be their first performance since a one-off reunion show in 2009. Part of the ticket bundle is a one-off double vinyl album, featuring their self-titled album and a selection of tracks from across their catalogue.

They released two albums, 1994’s Screaming Delorous and 2000’s Nitocris and a string of EPs. The final of these, Manic, was nominated for an ARIA award.

UPDATE: This show has already sold out.
