IN the wake of a European tour rocked by cancellations and protests, Disturbed frontman David Draiman has declared an indefinite hiatus to the band’s touring activity.

Draiman used his X profile to announce he wasn’t certain how long it would be before Disturbed would return to the road.

Since the conflict in Palestine began, many of Draiman’s public and online comments have increasingly conflated opposition to the Israeli government’s continued aggression in Gaza with anti-Semitism. In July 2024 he posted an image of himself signing an artillery shell before it was sent to Israel, an act that later caused the cancellation of Disturbed’s show in Vorst, Belgium, on the grounds that it could have caused a security risk.

Draiman was booed during his appearance at July’s historic Back To The Beginning concert, and on the final show of his band’s last tour, he dismissed protesters at the Glasgow venue with an Instagram post that said, “Hope your Jew hatred kept you guys warm”.

Disturbed last toured Australia as part of Knotfest in 2024.
