ORIGINAL Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer is set to return to the stage with the band for their upcoming California, Dream On: Aerosmith And Friends shows at the Hollywood Bowl.
Rehearsal photographs shared by the group this week show Kramer behind the drum kit alongside Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford and Tom Hamilton.
The appearances on October 29 and November 1 will mark Kramer’s first performances with Aerosmith since February 2020.
Kramer’s return completes the classic five-member lineup for the first time in more than six years. The drummer had stepped away from the band amid health issues and later became involved in legal disputes with his bandmates.
Aerosmith confirmed Kramer’s participation through the newly released rehearsal images captured by photographer Ross Halfin.
The Hollywood Bowl concerts represent the band’s first full shows since Steven Tyler’s vocal injury halted their farewell tour in September 2023.
Kramer appeared in the initial publicity photograph for the events, with the rehearsal pictures providing further confirmation of his involvement.
The shows feature an extensive list of guest artists, including Guns N’ Roses, Heart, Run-DMC, Sammy Hagar and others.
Kramer’s reinstatement behind the drums adds significant weight to Aerosmith’s return for these special performances.
