CANADIAN rockers Bachman-Turner Overdrive have announced their first-ever Australian tour, scheduled for February 2027 as part of the No Speed Limit Tour.
The five-date run will take in major capital cities, beginning at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Wednesday February 3. It continues at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Friday February 5, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Sunday February 7 and Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre on Tuesday February 9, before concluding at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Thursday February 11.
The Australian leg forms part of a broader international schedule that also includes a performance at Auckland Town Hall in New Zealand on February 1. The shows sit between the first and second legs of the band’s 2027 United States dates.
Founding member Randy Bachman revived Bachman-Turner Overdrive in 2023 and subsequently led successful tours across Canada and the United States in 2024 and 2025. The current lineup is a family affair, featuring Bachman’s son Tal Bachman on guitar and vocals, daughter-in-law KoKo Bachman on drums, Lance Lapointe on bass and Brent Knudsen on guitar.
In comments accompanying the announcement, Bachman said the group had become a family band again. He expressed excitement about celebrating decades of BTO music in 2027 and including Australia and New Zealand in that celebration.
Fans can expect a setlist drawn from the band’s classic rock catalogue, including the international number-one single “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet”, along with “Takin’ Care of Business”, “Let It Ride” and “Roll on Down the Highway”.
The tour represents the first time Bachman-Turner Overdrive have performed under that name in Australia, despite the band’s long-standing popularity and the enduring radio presence of their 1970s hits. The group rose to prominence with a series of successful albums in the mid-1970s.
Bachman’s earlier career included time with The Guess Who, and he has continued performing in various configurations over the years. The current BTO incarnation follows his recent work with former bandmate Burton Cummings.
Support acts are yet to be announced.
