A MOTION Picture that heavy metal icons Iron Maiden have been working on for some time now has a title and a release date.
Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition will be released to theatres worldwide on May 7 with tickets going on sale from April 18. It is directed Malcolm Venville (Churchill at War) and produced by Dominic Freeman who did a documentary film on Depeche Mode.
The film, according to a release by the band, “charts Iron Maiden’s remarkable five‑decade journey”. Among those interviewed are Spanish actor Javier Bardem, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich and rapper Chuck D.
The film will be distributed by Universal Pictures. “Burning Ambition” was the flipside of the “Running Free” single in 1980.
EddFest, featuring Australia’s Airbourne, will be held at Knebworth on July 11.
