SHARON Osborne resumed selling “another prick in the wall” t-shirts when her beef with Roger Waters flared again after James Hetfield made remarks during a concert in Las Vegas.
Speaking to the crowd at the Sphere on 10 October, Hetfield said: “Metallica is not here, like some other entertainers, to influence you with their bullshit, OK? We are here… no bullshit… we’re here to forget about all the outside shit, OK? Metallica’s agenda is love, energy and heavy music, baby!”
Long time music industry figure Osbourne shared a clip of the comments on social media and wrote: “I agree 10000%.”
Pink Floyd founder Waters later responded on The Katie Halper Show, stating: “He’s just showing that he’s a complete prick. He’s got an IQ of about three and why we’re talking about him, I honestly don’t know, because he’s a nobody.”
He added: “He may have a few hundred million dollars or whatever, but he’s a prick, and he’s no musician. I heard them playing acoustic instruments, and they couldn’t. It was appalling.”
The exchange has drawn attention because of the earlier public falling-out between Osbourne and Waters that began after the death of Ozzy Osbourne in 2025.
At that time Waters had said he “couldn’t give a fuck” about the Black Sabbath singer’s music, prompting strong replies from the Osbourne family.
Neither Hetfield nor representatives for Metallica have issued further public comments on Waters’ latest remarks. The episode has prompted fresh discussion among fans about the place of political or personal statements on the concert stage.
