SCORPIONS have called off an Indian tour with Girish and the Chronicles supporting due to a medical issue which has not been explained.
The German titans were due to visit the country for four shows between tomorrow night (Tuesday) and April 30 and pulled out with just a few days warning and little in the way of detail.
Promoters BookMyShow said: “We regret to inform you that the Scorpions’ Coming Home India tour scheduled in Shillong on April 21st, Delhi-NCR on April 24th, Bengaluru on April 26th and Mumbai on April 30th, stands cancelled due to unforeseen medical circumstances affecting the band members.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment caused to fans. The band are very keen to perform in India when possible and within their schedule.”
The band themselves have not addressed the cancelation on their website, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
Girish Pradhan said on Facebook: “We have just received the news that Scorpions have cancelled their Indian tour.
“And along with it, it also means we will no longer be performing. So yeah, sad news.
“Let’s hope there’s another concert nearby where we can all catch up and rock out properly.”
