THIS must be the final final tour, then.

Goth punk icons Tbe Damned staged their “final” tour of Australasia in 2024 but of course, we know not to believe that guff these days. They’ve now announced more Antipodean dates in September this year.

The tour will be headlined by a show at the Sydney Opera House on September 10, kicking off in Auckland two days previous to that and winding up in Melbourne on the 13th.

Speaking in a media release, Rat Scabies said: “Half a century on and who’d have thought we would still be upright and breathing?

“We never thought we’d make it this far – and neither did you! But here we are. A finely tuned engine. The Damned still has the power and finesse to excite, entertain and accelerate into our 50th year.”

Captain Sensible adds: “With 50 years of catalogue to choose from, only the best songs from our chequered history will be performed – and with the passion and commitment all good music lovers deserve. You know we won’t disappoint.”

Coming up in 2028: The last final final tour.
