GOOD Things have dropped a huge number of sideshows in our lap. Following on from the instantly sold out Korn sideshow in Adelaide, festival co-headliners, pop punk stalwarts Sum 41 hit us with four huge final ever shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide. Support on all shows from huge rising star, Canada’s Grandson. Definitely don’t miss these because the band will not, I repeat, NOT, be back. Ever!
On the heavier side of things, Mastodon with the one and only Kerry King will decimate Sydney and Melbourne on the 3rd and 4th of December.
Swedish metalcore five piece Imminence will also hit Sydney and Melbourne venues for a dose of symphonic circle pits. And if you’re in either of those cities and circle pits are your thing, more metalcore from Pennsylvania, USA as From Ashes To New kick the shit outta Stay Gold and Crowbar.
Plenty of punk for all fans on the east coast with the reunited The Gaslight Anthem bringing their Americana punk rock n roll stories to the Tivoli, Liberty Hall and the Croxton.
Pop punk fans rejoice! Bowling For Soup gift us three of the funnest sideshows you’ll have the pleasure of attending. Starting with the Metro in Sydney, then Princess theatre Brisbane and the Corner Hotel, Melbourne, this will jam packed with fun tunes and fun times.
On their first tour down under, Californian garage punks Destroy Boys team up with Australian darling Alex Lahey for a bunch of what’s sure to be rough and ragged punk shows.
Smashing Pumpkins front man Billy Corgan will be smiling politely when he and The Delta Riggs play three special sets in Adelaide and the gorgeous Palais and Enmore theatres. Catch them before you catch them at the festivals.
And for all you black nails, tight jeans and eyeliner needs, Sleeping With Sirens do the east coast run with Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne getting shot through the heart with their emo anthems.
Other sideshows announced include ska punk legends Highly Suspect, folk troubadour Frank Turner, and rap rockers 311 who are returning for the first time since their 1998 Vans Warped tour appearances.
Finally, performing their debut album and celebrating over 40 years of Hallowed Ground, alt indie rockers Violent Femmes will play a one off special set at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne.
With tickets to Good Things Festival selling fast, these sideshows are sure to sell out.
Tickets to all sideshows on sale from Friday November 1st.
