DEATHCORE band Alpha Wolf have cancelled all touring for the rest of 2026 following the sudden departure of their vocalist.
The band announced the split with Lochie Keogh this morning, with the statement declaring they had “mutually parted ways”.
Keogh joined the Burnie-founded band in mid-2018 when former vocalist Aiden Ellaz was fired in the wake of sexual assault allegations.
He arrived around the same period as drummer Mitch Fogarty, as the group returned from a short hiatus.
Prior to taking on vocal duties, Keogh had already been connected to the band for several years, joining them on interstate tours and assisting with merchandise and gear. In a statement released this morning, Alpha Wolf confirmed: “Alpha Wolf have mutually parted ways with long time vocalist, Lochie Keogh.
“We are deeply saddened, but remain hopeful for what the future holds. We ask that you respect Lochie’s privacy, as well as ours during this time.”
No additional information about the circumstances of the departure has been provided. As a result of the change, the band have cancelled their forthcoming European headline tour and all other scheduled appearances for the remainder of 2026.
“As a result, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming European headline tour and all remaining shows for 2026 while we work through this transition,” the statement continued.
“Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
The European dates had been set for October, with support from Psycho-Frame, Fox Lake and fellow Australians Diamond Construct on a number of shows.
During his tenure, Keogh fronted the band through its transition from the Australian heavy scene to a more established international profile.
He appeared on the 2020 album A Quiet Place to Die and its 2024 follow-up Half Living Things. The latter became one of the group’s most successful releases, debuting at No. 19 on the ARIA Albums Chart and No. 2 on the Australian Albums Chart.
He also featured on the EPs Fault (2019), Shh (2023) and the split The Lost And The Longing with Holding Absence. Half Living Things included a collaboration with Body Count vocalist Ice-T.
Alpha Wolf have not indicated who will take over vocal duties or when they plan to resume live activity. The band are currently listed to appear on the Hellbound II heavy metal cruise and at Adelaide’s Froth & Fury Fest in January 2027.
Those dates fall outside the scope of the 2026 cancellations, though the group have not confirmed whether they will proceed while they work through the transition.
