THORNLIE’s finest, The Southern River Band, have received the nod to play rock’s holiest ground: Donnington.
The WA heroes have announced they’ll be playing Download in mid June 2025; they kick off their second UK tour of 2024 in Glasgow on Wednesday.
“This just in: Fukn wicked,” the band announced. “See ya at Donnington Park, June 13-15 2025 for Download Fest.”
This year’s Download headliners are Green Day, Sleep Token and Korn. The festival grew out of the old Monsters Of Rock held at the same venue. Download launched in 2003, seven years after the demise of Monsters Of Rock.
