SWEDISH prog metal band Soen has postponed their impending Australian tour.

Drummer Martin Lopez received some bad news just as the band were about to board their flight.

“While we were at the airport checking in on our way to Australia we received some terrible family news,” Soen wrote in their announcement. “We have no choice but to postpone our Australian shows by a few weeks. Please hold on while we reschedule the shows. We apologise sincerely for the inconvenience to the fans, the promoter and the venues. We will make it up to all of you when we get there.”

Formed in 2010, Soen consists of Joel Ekelöf, guitarist Cody Lee Ford, bassist Stefan Stenberg, drummer Lopez and keyboardist Lars Åhlund and were to be here touring their seventh album Reliance. The shows were to kick off tomorrow in Melbourne.
