FROM Ashes to New, the Pennsylvania-based rock band, will undertake its first headline tour of Australia in October, with shows scheduled in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane.
Melbourne band Banks Arcade will support the tour. The run marks the group’s first headline dates in Australia, following prior appearances at the Good Things Festival in 2024.
It comes after the release of the band’s fifth studio album, Reflections, earlier this year. Early bird pre-sale tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friiday, July 24) with general public sales opening on Tuesday, July 28.
From Ashes to New was formed in 2013 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania (near Elizabethtown). Founding member Matt Brandyberry, who provides rap vocals, has remained the sole constant member through multiple lineup changes.
The band released its debut album, Day One, in February 2016. A deluxe edition followed later that year.
Their second album, The Future, appeared in April 2018 and reached No. 163 on the Billboard 200. Subsequent studio albums are Panic, Blackout and Reflections.
Notable singles include “Through It All,” “Crazy” and “Panic,” which peaked at numbers six, three and 11 respectively on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.
Tracks from Blackout such as “Nightmare,” “Until We Break,” “Hate Me Too” and “Armageddon” also gained traction.
In 2017, the band recruited vocalist Danny Case and drummer Mat Madiro (formerly of Trivium) following the departures of previous members.
Its sound is typically classified as rap metal, nu metal or rap rock, incorporating elements of alternative rock, hip hop, electronicore and other styles. Influences cited by the band include Korn, Linkin Park, Sevendust, Eminem and Pantera.
