NINETIES behemoths Stone Temple Pilots and Live head up Lookout, a festival hitting indoor and outdoor venues that will visit 10 Australian cities and regional centres in March.
The two US rock bands will be joined by compatriots 4 Non Blondes and Australia’s Magic Dirt, kicking off at Adelaide Entertainment Centre on March 6 and winding up at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on March 4.
STP are currently fronted by Jeff Gutt after the loss of Scott Weiland and Chester Bennington. They have not released a new album since 2020’s Perdida.
In the case of Live, things are more complicated. The official touring name is actually +LIVE+ as the sole full member is singer Ed Kowalczyk.
Former members Chad Taylor and Chad Gracey this year issued Kowalczyk with a cease and desist order over his use of the name Live.
“As of Feb. 16, 2026, [Kowalczyk’s] rights to use the LIVE brand were revoked by AFU. I won’t fight this in public. The courts will handle it,” Taylor wrote.
No court dates or outcomes have since been reported upon.
