AMYL and the Sniffers don’t do things by the book – and now they’re going to put out film featuring both kinds of music, Country AND Western.
How do we know?
Well, there’s our gun team of investigative journalists. And then there’s Amyl’s social media post, reading: “A film is coming to you soon about Amyl playing country covers of their own songs”.
So we know by one of those two ways.
Said film was directed by John Angus Stewart with Chris Chang and Jason Baum producing and Christopher Blauvelt. Stewart has basically directed all the big videos by Amyl along with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
Given that Stewart is based in the US, it’s possible the film was shot during the band’s recent run there. Bassist Gus Romer sat out those dates.
