SPINAL Tap’s long-awaited sequel film, 41 years after the first, was subtitled “The End Continues” to mock the modern tendency of rock bands to perpetually come out of retirement.
Aussie icons Rose Tattoo have been on a farewell tour this year which which shortly take them to Europe and we were told their final show – a neat 50 years after their formation – would be at an Australian venue on New Years Eve.
Not quite.
Legendary Sunset Strip venue the Whiskey A GoGo has announced two shows for the Tatts next March, which Gilby Clarke opening on one night and Jetboy on the other.
The venue posted: “Australia’s finest rock n’ roll outlaws – Rose Tattoo – embark on their final tour in 2027! See them at the Whisky on March 21st with support from Jetboy and on Monday March 22nd with special guest Gilby Clarke! Tickets on sale now at www.ticketweb.com.”
On the band’s website, no dates beyond August 20 in Hamburg are listed.
