ADELAIDE and Perth will no longer be able to complain that the east coast gets all the good shows now that Froth and Fury has finalised stellar line-ups for its January festivals.

Announcements today and yesterday will ensure that both events change the face of heavy music festivals with international names including Shai Hulud, Snot and Bleeding Through joining the likes of Mortal Sin, The Mark of Cain, Voyager, Where’s the Pope?, Abramelin, Nicolas Cage Fighter, Battlesnake and more being added to the already revealed cast headed up by Polaris, Nailbomb, Soulfly and Lagwagon.

Froth and Fury Adelaide will mark Aussie thrash legends Mortal Sin’s first show sine 2012 and Perth will see the live return of Voyager after several years of hiatus due to singer Danny Estrin’s ongoing cancer treatment. The Adelaide event will also see the return of Double Dragon, Where’s the Pope? and Bearded Clams.

Brian Giffin is a metalhead, author, writer and broadcaster from the Blue Mountains in Australia. His life was changed forever after seeing a TV ad for 'The Number of the Beast' in 1982. During the 90s he wrote columns and reviews for Sydney publications On the Street, Rebel Razor, Loudmouth and Utopia Records' magazine. He was the creator and editor of the zine LOUD! which ran from 1996 until 2008, and of Loud Online that lasted from 2010 until 2023 when it unexpectedly spontaneously combusted into virtual ashes. His weekly community radio show The Annex has been going since 2003 on rbm.org.au. He enjoys heavy rock and most kinds of metal (except maybe symphonic power metal), whisk(e)y and beer.
