FIFTY-five year old American session drummer Matt Laug is the latest member of AC/DC.
Matt has been called up for the upcoming Power Trip festival date, apparently as a result of Phil Rudd not being able to enter the US because of his criminal record.
Perhaps Laug’s career highly until now was playing on Alanis Morissette’s 1995 multi-platinum album Jagged Little Pill but he has also been an member of Slash’s Snakepit and Autograph.

He was named when Ackadacka released audio of rehearsals for the October 7 date in the California desert. It’s a safe bet that “If You Want Blood” will be part of the set because that’s the song in the snippet.
Laug’s Instagram account shows him to be a keen fan of hard rock history, with a number of AC\DC posts including wishing Angus Young happy birthday.
Laug went to high school in South Carolina before moving to Los Angeles.
