KISS have recorded their first new music in more than a decade.
With the avatar shows on the horizon, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley previously said new music would be required and that has now come to pass.
“KISS is in the studio now,” bassist Simmons told YouTuber KISSby Sienna, who also produced his Vault boxed set.
“So we just recorded a new song, as a matter of fact, that Paul wrote. I can’t tell you more about it. And that’ll be coming out at some point.”
Earlier, the Starchild and Demon foreshadowed new material in an extensive Pollstar interview.
In that story, Simmons was asked whether the Avatars – currently being developed by Swedish company Pophouse which now owns KISS’ catalogue – would perform all the band’s hits when the show is finally unveiled.
“You’re gonna get all that stuff – and also new songs,” he said. “Exactly what that means, written by us. We have songs done.”
The KISS avatar show is expected to kick off in Las Vegas some time in 2028. The KISS Kruise Landlocked In Vegas event returns this coming November.
