Jizzy Pearl quits Quiet Riot who immediately put out call for new singer

IN one of the fastest moving developments regarding a line-up change in recent times, Quiet Riot posted an ad for a new singer within 90 minutes of Jizzy Pearl quitting.

It all started late on Tuesday when Pearl posted: “Hey everyone, I have decided to leave Quiet Riot.

“I will continue to fulfil all scheduled dates within my contractual obligations. As the old cliche says ‘I am moving on to new creative pursuits and projects’.

“Things happen when they’re supposed to happen. I wish the QR guys all the best—That’s it! Thanks!”

One hour and 29 minutes later, the band said: “Quiet Riot is currently accepting submissions for a new vocalist within North America for 2027 and beyond. The shows on the calendar this year will go on as scheduled.

The “things happen when they’re supposed to happen” line suggested Pearl, 68, has a new gig. And there’s one big heritage band looking for a singer: Skid Row.
