FAN-shot footage has shown KISS bassist Gene Simmons becoming ill while performing in Manaus, Brazil.
During a festival at which Sepultura and Scorpions were also performing, 73-year-old Simmons called for a stage hand to bring him a chair.
The temperature at the time was in the high 20s celsius.
Local media outlet G1 reported that the show was held up for “several minutes”, Simmons returned and declared – in Portugese -“Manaus, all right! Thank you”. The concert concluded without further incident.
Earlier, Paul Stanley had said to the crowd: “We’re gonna have to stop to take care of him, ’cause we love him, right? Let’s give Gene a really loud ‘Gene’.”
