DANISH heroes Disneyland After Dark have announced an Australasian tour for next March.
The Cowpunkers-cum-hard rockers will be at the Tuning Fork in Auckland on March 9 and then wander left to right, finishing at the Rosemount Hotel in Perth on the 16th.
“Danish rock icons D-A-D return to Australia for The Very Best Of Tour,” says a media release.
“This show celebrates their career with the songs that cemented their place among Denmark’s rock greats.”
Speaking to Hot Metal at Sweden Rock back in 2015, singer Jesper Binzer reflected on the band’s first visit to our parts – and we use that term advisedly – “My memories of Australia are very carnal.”
Revisiting those comments with us a decade later after a 2022 visit, Binzer said: “There was still a lot of love, there was still a lot of fans and there were even some new fans.
“It seemed like the Australian fans … check out the new releases so we were not just a picture of the past but we actually felt seen as entire human beings and with a long career.
“Maybe we thought they only knew about No Fuel Left For The Pilgrims.
“Concerning the carnal part, last time around it was just old men with jetlag enjoying the Chinese food.”
