THERE is confusion over the fate of the Pandemonium Rocks touring festival next month with reports it has been cancelled.

Channel Nine news reported on Thursday night that although tickets were still on sale, the shows involving Deep Purple, Blondie, Wolfmother, Alice Cooper, Placebo and more would not proceed.

They showed their reporter calling the promoters and apparently being hung up upon.

The festival remains advertised as taking in Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast and Bribie Island with side shows in Newcastle. It has already made the news once when forced to change venues in Sydney due to Anzac Day.

Hot Metal has reached out to the promoters for comment.
