AC/DC will perform four shows in Brazil this September, according to one of the country’s major national newspapers.

O Globo reports the Aussie legends will play shows in Morumbi and São Paulo as well as playing twice at this year’s Rock In Rio.

Ackadacka ended a six-year absence from the road by playing Powertrip in California last October and have been silent since when it comes to further shows.

Separately, podcast host and stand-up comic Dean Delray – who has a relationship with the band – has claimed bassist Cliff Williams will not be part of the new performances.

“Three year ago I had Cliff Williams on my podcast and he straight up said he would not be touring again and I was surprised that the fans didn’t seem to pick up on that,” Delray wrote on social media.

“Last night I heard from a very reliable source that AC/DC will be touring with a new bass player this year. I’m not gonna say who it is. I’ll let AC/DC make that announcement.”

Matt Laug replaced Phil Rudd on drums for PowerTrip but New Zealand resident Rudd is known to want to return to the lineup.
