70,000 Tons release details of 2026 cruise

DETAILS of the latest journey of the world’s first and biggest heavy metal ocean cruise have been released.

70,000 Tons of Metal will steam out of Florida on January 29 with 60 bands aboard, 27 of whom have so far been announced. Amorphis and Dark Tranquillity head an impressive list of artists named to be on the cruise, which also includes Insomnium, Kamelot, Heathen, Hirax, Dødheimsgard, Vio-lence, Firewind and Eluveitie. Haggard, Persefone, Wind Rose, Gama Bomb, Beast in Black, Ereb Altor, Xandria, Skeletal Remains, Groza, Seven Spires, Týr, Harakiri for the Sky, Hiraes, Hour of Penance, Rhapsody of Fire, Saturnus and Orden Ogan are the other names so far released.

The cruise will have one significant difference this year, with security concerns forcing the promoters to change the cruise’s destination from Haiti to Nassau in the Bahamas. Find out more from the official website.
