COG’s popular annual holiday shows are returning this December.
After promoting their single “Walk The Line” earlier this year, the Australian progressive hard rock band spent much of 2025 recording new material at Key Sound Studios in Byron Bay.
The trio of Flynn Gower, Luke Gower and Lucius Borich are now preparing to stage their traditional end-of-year performances as summer arrives.
In a social media post, the band announced they are wrapping up the year with the shows and thanked supporters for their backing.
The run begins at the Racehorse Hotel in Booval on Friday, December 11, continues at Kings Beach Tavern on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday, December 12, and finishes at The Northern in Byron Bay on Friday, December 18.
Kodiak Empire will support COG at every date, with Elko Fields opening in Booval and on the Sunshine Coast and Jackrabbit performing in Byron Bay.
These concerts will be the band’s final appearances of the year, with tickets available through COG’s Linktree.
“Walk the Line”, released in September 2024, was the group’s first new release in six years.
The track addresses the difficulties of working as a musician in Australia amid financial and industry pressures. Frontman Flynn Gower has said the song reflects the band’s uncertainty about its future and the broader challenges facing artists.
