BACK in May, Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser told us of his band’s grand plan for their final ever show.
On November 7, Sepultura is to say goodbye in front of their home town crowd in Sao Paolo along with Krisiun, Sacred Reich and the current version of Metal Allegiance – Mike Menghi, Mike Portnoy, Chuck Billy, Alex Skolnik, Troy Sanders and Phil Demmel.
Originally, the event was to be held at the city’s 26,000 seat Mercado Livre Arena; however, Live Nation Brazil announced on Wednesday that the show will now be moved to the much smaller Suhai Music Hall.
No reason for the switch was given.
Former members Max And Iggor Cavalera have turned down the opportunity to be involved.
“We did invite the Cavalera brothers,” Kisser told Metal Hammer.
“I spoke to Iggor personally on a phone call a few months ago and we started some communication. Even our managers went to talk to their management and stuff. But, they don’t want to be a part of it, and that’s OK. It’s a choice.”
