FIVE years since their previous album Hushed and Grim and still recovering from the brutal passing of former guitarist and friend Brent Hinds, Mastodon has announced further details of their new album, including the release date.
Following the unveiling of their short film The Mastodon in the Room in which they paid tribute to Hinds, the band has also revealed the title and artwork of the album.
Marrow Deep will be released on August 28, with the second single from the album featuring a vocal turn from Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. “Snakes for Dinner” is Homme’s first appearance on a Mastodon record since Blood Mountain in 2006.
Pre-orders are being taken now.
