Raucous Sydney rock maniacs Fangz are offering something different with latest track Something Real. Recorded at the end of the Shui sessions, Something Real is an introspective acoustic number reflecting a facet of the band rarely shown before. Streaming now, the band are doing a launch party at Dead Set in Sydney on the 19th.

Darwin metalcore unit KOH are stepping out with the debut EP in July, but ahead of that the lads have previewed the release with new track Blasphemous. After impressing audiences with supports to bands like Justice of the Damned, Diamond Construct and a blistering set at last year’s Blacken Open Air, KOH will drop Golden Death on July 1. This weekend they are appearing at Terror Loud at the Gateway in Darwin with Reliqa, Bitterkind, Tariot and more.

Following on from their recent Bestial Hunger, featuring Liam Hedges from Gosika, Wollongong death metal band Destruction of the Healer has released their second offering. Sekhmet serves as a thematic embodiment of the band and as the second look at their forthcoming album, A Universe Bereaved, due on July 9. Melbourne extremists Melting have released their second EP. Recorded in Sydney and stripped back to expose their sheer power, A Pathetic Excuse for A Life is out today, streaming everywhere via Greyscale.

Melancholia specialists The Eternal have a full-length album coming, to follow up their Celestial EP from earlier this year. Obscured Horizons is due on September 18 thru Reigning Phoenix, with a clip for the first track, Lament for the Hollow, out now. The song is available for download now, with physical copies of Celestial avaiable here. The Eternal will be on tour with Amorphis in September.

Queenslanders Engraved have released their new album. The five piece groove/metalcore unit unveiled Hymns for the Hollow today, along with the new single, Pressure. Engraved’s release are available in digital and physical form here.

The long-awaited third album from Melbourne rockers Riff Raiders is finally released on this month. Five months since the title track dropped, Welcome to Mars is out on June 7, accompanied by the band’s latest single Broken Halo. Riff Raiders will return to the stage for the first time in three years at the Rock is Not Dead festival on August 28 at the Prince of Wales.

Goth metallers Victoria K have released Oh So Weary from their upcoming album The Pleasure of Sorrow. No solid date has been revealed for the album yet, but the band is launching the single at the Leadbeater in Melbourne on June 13.
