SLIPKNOT keyboardist and DJ Sid Wilson was everywhere 11 months ago when he proposed to Kelly Osbourne backstage at Back To The Beginning.
This year, things haven’t gone quite as well for the 49-year-old. His engagement to Osbourne has quietly ended and now, according to TMZ, he has been sacked by his band.
The infamously accurate show business gossip site said Wilson had been “permanently kicked out” of the giant alternative metal outfit on Friday, with their source not aware of the reason.
But another member, Jim Root, said in Instagram: “Don’t believe every thing you read. Stop. Think. Take a breath. Sit with it for awhile. Maybe. Just maybe even wait until there’s more information.”
Wilson is one of the band’s ‘classic’ nine members from the back end of the 20th century, joining in 1998 and playing on their debut album.
Craig Jones and Chris Fehn have left while Joey Jordison and Paul Gray are dead.
