And he’s employed a playbook foreign to we oldies – but recently used by none other than Bon Jovi. He’s re-recorded one of his own recent tracks with a guest artist, in this case grunge-era giants Smashing Pumpkins.
The British upstart joins Billy Corgan and co in the recording and graveyard-set video for a song that is definitely NOT the Cranberries protest song of 1994.
The 28-year-old (real name) Dom Harrison told Loudwire: “I called Billy, and I was like, ‘Billy, please help me scratch this itch. I want this record to dig in harder.’
“There still needs to be an almost Jekyll and Hyde element; there needs to be the version that’s full of light and full of life and optimism, but then there needs to be this dark version that is pessimistic and a little bit bitter and a bit aggressive.”
