EXACTLY two weeks since guitarist Kerry King released his first solo track and revealed he had an album ready for May, Slayer has announced a surprise reunion.

Given King’s comments in Rolling Stone at the beginning of February in which he claimed he hadn’t so much as texted Slayer bandmate Tom Araya since 2019, the revelation that the band’s final touring line-up – he, Araya, Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph – will soon be back together comes as a complete shock.

According to Blabblermouth in a post dated February 21, Slayer will play at Chicago’s Riot Fest and Louder Than Life in Kentucky in September, but no further dates or activity are speculated. Updates will certainly follow.
