JOHNNY ‘Tatt’ Dalzell, the bassist from whom Johnny Diesel and the Injectors get their name, has died. Few details are available at the time of writing.
Mark Lizotte, who was the frontman for the band and who therefore also takes his stage name of Diesel from Dalzell, wrote: “RIP John Dalzell. Thanks for the music we made together, the sweat, tears and laughs.
“One of the most gentle souls one could ever encounter… sending light and love to his family.”
Dalzell was know to have moved from his native Perth to the Northern Territory in later years. His other recording credits include Innocent Bystanders and Living Sounds Of Love.
