TRIXTER’S three date tour of Australia has been cancelled.

The band’s tour, which included Tuff’s Stevie Rachelle and Femme Fatale/Vixen singer Lorraine Lewis as part of the package, was due to play Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane next weekend.

In a brief statement, the band wrote: “it is our unfortunate duty to inform you that Silverback Touring has been unable to fulfill the obligations necessary to fulfill the tour, therefore have requested that we cancel our run next week.”

Responding to this, Silverback Touring declared they had indeed met all payment obligations, however, “the only outstanding component was the finalisation of return flights from Brisbane to the USA. … the current gloabl situation drove the cost of fulfilling these travel requirements to tens of thousands of dollars, an unforseen escalation that made delivering the tour to our standard impossible without placing serious strain on our broader operation.”

Silverback further claims that an offer was made to reschedule the tour, but Trixter’s management chose to cancel instead.
