SWEDISH heroes Thundermother have announced a new album.
Mothers Of Thunder will be their first record on Napalm when it is released on February 5 next year. It will be the seventh album for Filippa Nassil’s outfit.
The first single, “Bimbo Boost”, can be seen below. The band said in a statement: “It’s damn hard being a woman. We have to do our makeup, straighten our hair, reverse aging and always look our best. It’s exhausting.
“We wish we had a magic guitar booster pedal that instantly did all of that for us! We love making fun music videos, and this time we went bananas!”
The current line-up features founder and guitarist FNässil alongside lead vocalist and guitarist Linnéa Vikström Egg, bassist Majsan Lindberg and drummer Joan Massing.
This four-piece has been locked in since 2023 = when there were controversial changes – and already delivered the well-received Dirty and Divine album in 2025, which cracked the top ranks of the German rock and metal charts.
They followed that up earlier this year with their first live record, Live’n’Alive, captured during the European headline run that backed the previous studio effort.
Mothers of Thunder leans hard into high-energy anthems that cheer on women while delivering dirty riffs and cheeky lyrics built for the stage.
Another track, “Restless”, teams Linnéa with her actual dad, Therion’s Thomas Vikström, for a genuine father-daughter exchange that pits parental worry against a kid’s hunger for freedom.
