NEW Zealand rock lords The Datsuns are currently barreling through an extensive run of headlining club dates and festival shows in Europe, ahead of the release of the eighth album in November.

The first taste of the band’s new album is the title track, “Moonstruck Man”, evoking Seventies psychedelia and Deep Purple-ness.

Moonstruck Man is the long awaited follow-up to 2021’s Eye to Eye and the first to feature drumming contributions from current timekeeper Adam Lindmark, also of Dead Lord.

The album comes after The Datsuns tour of Australia back in March, their first visit to these shores in more than a decade and in the wake of extensive hand surgery for guitarist Christian Livingstone.
