LEGENDARY Swedish punks Refused are calling it quits – this time for good.

Drummer David Sandström revealed the end of the band in a detailed statement released today. A final US tour in early 2025 has already been announced, along with plans to finish their career in Sweden late in the year. It’s not all bad news, however, as the band has announced a special 25th anniversary of their groundbreaking The Shape of Punk to Come that will include special collector editions. There will also be a tribute album, The Shape of Punk to Come Obliterated, featuring tracks by Quicksand, Snapcase, IDLES, Zulu, Touche Amore and more.

Refused had planned to pull the plug this year, but the idea was scuppered following singer Dennis Lyxzen’s heart attack.
