THE guitarist and founding member of Killing Joke, Kevin “Geordie” Walker, has died.

Social media posts from the band’s former drummer Martin Atkins and Walker’s lifetime friend Luca Signorelli announced the passing of the 64-year old musician, who suffered a stroke last Friday (November 24) in Prague.

Born in England on December 18, 1958, he joined the embryonic Killing Joke in 1979 and along with Jaz Coleman was the only other constant member of the band. He was known for his distinctive, violent and jagged guitar playing style which helped to establish Killing Joke as one of the most influential post-punk acts of the eighties and nineties.
