PERTH legends Karnivool have announced a national tour, taking in their home town, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

The trek is in support of the musical innovators’ first album in 13 years, In Verses, and sees them playing rooms as big as any they have in this country.

Supports have been confirmed as British purveyors of prog Tasseract and New York mathcore band Car Bomb, who have never played here before.

The tour starts at the Ice Cream Factory in their home town on July 18 and winds up at Brisbane’s picturesque River Stage on July 25.

Having gone to number one on the ARIA charts with In Versus, the band members issued a join statement in February which read: “Karnivool as a band has never followed a conventional path, god knows we aren’t even on TikTok, and this album is on our own label through our friends at Sony.

“So we will raise a glass to our fans, families, Forrester and our friends who worked on the record, and anyone who walks their own path. See you at a show.”
