SWEDISH legends Hardcore Superstar have released their first new music since 2022’s mind-blowing Abrakadabra album – and it serves as announcement of their new record label.
Hardcore Superstar are now with Frontier Records, a relationship launched by the new song “Halo”, their first recording to feature new drummer Efraim Larsson.
Previous skinsman Magnus “Adde” Andreasson was the driving force behind Abrakadabra and his departure in February 2024 meant songs from the album – one of HM’s best of ’22 – disappeared from live shows.
Interestingly, the new song sounds a lot like the outfit he joined – Eclipse – with its soaring chorus and polished harmonies.
The song was written by Damir Vic Zino Mujezinovic, Joakim Berggren, Martin Sandvik and Efraim Larsson and comes out on the eve of a Scandinavian tour. No album has been announced.
Sadly we never heard much of Abrakadabra live as Andreasson stopped touring for a year before formerly departing. Let’s hope this tour makes up for that.
