ALTHOUGH the timing is accidental, Catman Peter Criss is about to ping the nostalgia nerve of KISS fans still mourning the death of his long-time compadre, Spaceman Ace Frehley.

Drummer Criss, 79, has released the first single from his upcoming eponymous album, “Creepy Crawlers”. The album, to be released on December 19, will be his first in 18 years and the KISS icon has stressed it’s a rock offering, after dabbling in many different genres during his long career.

You can check out the track below.

Peter Criss represents the Catman’s return to form, and his most rock driven solo album ever and it includes appearances by John 5, Billy Sheehan and Paul Shaffer,” a statement posted on Bandcamp reads.

“All CDs and the download album of Peter Criss include the bonus track ‘Hard Rock Knockers,’ all vinyl editions include a download card for this bonus track, as well.”

It is actually the second album called Peter Criss as his 1978 solo record while still in KISS also carried this title.

Criss retired from touring in 2017, having spent many of his final years of live with with Australia’s Sister’s Doll acting as his backing band. This included his official farewell at the Cutting Room in New York on June 17, 2017.
