SYDNEY band C.O.F.F.I.N have announced their sixth album, Out In Oslo, set for release on September 18 via p(doom) Records.
The label, founded by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, hosts those avant guard renegades and a handful of other acts.
The album announcement follows the band’s recent signing to the label and the release of their first single since 2023, “Sleep In It”.
Out In Oslo will be the band’s first album since 2023’s Australia Stops, which was their first to chart in Australia and earned an ARIA Award nomination for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album.
A second single, “Think Bad”, has been released alongside the album news. Produced by Amyl and the Sniffers’ Declan Mehrtens, with vocals co-produced by Frenzal Rhomb’s Jason Whalley, the track draws from a wide variety of influences.
The album follows the recent release of the band’s documentary 10,000 Miles From Oslo, which features archival footage, interviews and other material documenting their career from formation in 2005 to the present.Â
