IN A recent satellite radio interview, singer John Corabi said he doesn’t know if he’s still a member of The Dead Daisies until the phone rings.
The phone rang recently for legendary singer and bassist Glenn Hughes, who was a member of the Australian-formed collective from 2019 to 2022 – he was back.
In an unexpected move for band leader David Lowy, the Daisies were to play a one-off show at the end of May at the Arcada Theater in Chicago.
One half would be their own songs – which Hughes performed with them during his stint – and the second would honour his towering Deep Purple legacy.
Guitarist Doug Aldrich and drummer Tommy Clufetos rounded out the line-up. The Daisies are off the road for most of this year but have had 2027 shows on sale for several months.
